Production Assembler 1 (Winder) Under limited to no supervision provides direct support to production supervisor in a lean cellular manufacturing environment. Employee must perform various processes to manufacture a subassembly up to a finished product, using basic hand tools and various machinery/tooling, per manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and instructions provided by the cell. Performance will be measured by specific goals on Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery. Employee should be self-motivated, showing initiative and drive to exceed performance expectations.
Must be able to use basic hand tools; including but not limited to screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammers, etc... Must have good eye/hand coordination and have hand/finger dexterity. Light keyboard skills required. Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as, safety rules, operating and manufacturing instructions, and Company policy and procedure manuals is required. Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external customers in the English language. Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (GED) is required. Years' Experience: 1 - 3 years of relevant experience Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. Variable schedule(s) and additional hours may be required as necessary.
