Position Summary

The Center for Weight Loss and Wellness offers Medical and Surgical Weight Loss services. The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a key member of the bariatric surgery team. They are responsible for coordinating a panel of bariatric surgery patients and the logistics of their pre-surgery work-up, which typically spans a two to eight month period. They serve as the key point of contact for patients, keeping them on track and informed at every step along the way to surgery. Responsible for providing Coordination of the precise scheduling of surgical cases and outpatient procedures.

Requirements


  • High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
  • Related college coursework and or training desirable
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience preferably in a medical office setting
  • Experience with medical terminology
  • Healthcare insurance or related experience desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Experience with EPIC desirable
  • Experience in customer service roles desirable

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.25 - $30.59 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
