Overview
Position: IT Quality Assurance
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $69,000 - $79,000 per year
Clearance: No clearance required

This organization provides web design and development services for a national lab. Organization considers the necessary content management and delivery vehicles needed to attain customer business goals, including web content and communication products. The Subcontractor shall consult and support all aspects of web development, such as systems analysis and design, user interface and experience design, workflow support, programming, project leadership, and product user training and support. Subcontractor experience with web-based products using Web technologies such as HTML5/CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery, and working with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Cascade Server) Web service usage is required.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources for an actual task order. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assist in the evaluation. Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Library Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, Technical Communications, or relevant discipline plus 3 or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • Must be US Citizen

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated use of strong analytic skills to research and evaluate content with an attention to detail
  • Knowledge in the field of digital content and information management
  • Ability to test applications and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to review and understand end-to-end work processes

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with Search products, search engine optimization, and functional testing
  • Demonstrated experience participating in process improvement and quality management initiatives
  • Understanding of information and relationships in taxonomies, metadata schemas, and ontologies, which may be used for organization, retrieval, or presentation of information
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, interpret, analyze, and use complex data, information, or content to develop actionable steps, identify patterns, improve processes, and optimize results
  • Experience evaluating a corporation's information environment, where information is stored, how it is used, and how it is found
  • Experience with marketing, communication, and presentations
  • Experience with text analytics, statistics, metrics, and/or information retrieval
  • Experience working with Agile principles and using a project management tool
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively and collaborate across organizational boundaries and within a team
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment
  • Experience providing solid and reliable services to customers
  • Experience assisting customers with IT processes
  • Experience resolving customer tickets
  • Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a teaming environment
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and in conjunction with others
  • Ability to work with IT systems and tools, including Confluence
  • Ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values
