Our team develops innovative products and processes that help drive the future of clean energy, enhancing safety and efficiency in the nuclear industry.

Your Day-to-Day:

As an Engineering Intern, you will:

• Design and conduct materials testing and characterization in a laboratory setting, using reactor simulation loops or apparatuses that evaluate post-nuclear accident chemical processes.
• Analyze test data to gain new insights, support patent applications, and direct proposals.
• Assist in the development of specialized tooling for surface sampling.
• Collaborate with a global team of engineers, scientists, and technicians.
• Champion a strong nuclear safety culture, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Who You Are:

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

• A basic understanding of chemistry and physics relevant to materials science.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work in a laboratory environment.
• Experience or coursework related to sample preparation, metallography, and microstructural characterization (e.g., XRD, SEM, FIB, TEM) is a plus.
• A passion for innovation and problem-solving, with a desire to invent and improve technologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Laboratory experience is desired, particularly in:

  • Design and development of testing equipment.
  • Programming skills, especially in LabVIEW.
