Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. As an Advanced Quality Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal design teams, and manufacturing teams to ensure all products meet aerospace quality and reliability standards. Responsibilities include addressing quality-related inquiries, providing project status updates, and facilitating clear communication with customers regarding milestones, standards, and issue resolution. Ensuring compliance with industry standards to AS9100, preparing quality metrics reports, conducting root cause analysis for non-conformances, coordinating team meetings, preparing for audits, and evaluating risks. Leadership responsibilities encompass acting as a peer to program management, managing customer feedback, conducting contract requirements reviews, preparing Quality assessment reports, performing surveillance activities, ensuring thorough peer reviews, participating in Configuration Control Board activities, and managing program QA costs. Target salary range: USD $103,254.00/Yr. - USD $114,547.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
