Website: https://www.ubhdenton.com/ Shift: 7pm-7:30am, Rotating Weekends Position Summary: UBH of Denton is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse to work for a TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT (duration is 14 weeks). This position is a NON-BENEFITS POSITION. The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: A min.imum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. HOURS / SCHEDULE: This is TEMPORARY 14-WEEK ASSIGNMENT. The first two weeks will be orientation. Then work (3) 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 12 weeks. Weekend Day shift is 79m - 7:30 am.
