Apple MacOS Desktop Support III - Hybrid (Seattle Only)

Currently, we are seeking an Apple MacOS Desktop Support III for a full-time hybrid position as part of an ongoing contract in Seattle, WA. (Must be within 60 miles of work location)

Please note: Due to security requirements, all successful candidates will be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and be able to successfully pass the required background check.

The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This will take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.

Primary Duties:

Providing technical assistance to users experiencing issues with their Mac computers, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing updates, configuring settings, and resolving network connectivity issues, all while adhering to Apple's standards and customer service practices; essentially acting as a primary point of contact for Mac users within an organization, ensuring smooth operation of their macOS devices.

Key responsibilities may include:



  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to macOS operating system, applications, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity.
  • Software installation and configuration: Deploying updates, patches, and new software applications on Mac systems.
  • Hardware support: Identifying and addressing hardware problems with Mac devices, including peripherals.
  • User training: Providing basic training to users on macOS features and functionalities.
  • Account management: Managing user accounts, permissions, and access levels on Mac systems.
  • Security maintenance: Implementing and monitoring security measures to protect Mac systems from threats.
  • Incident ticketing: Logging and managing support tickets through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaboration with IT teams: Working with other IT personnel to address complex issues and coordinate system deployments.


Qualifications/Skills include:



  • 3-5 years in Mac desktop support or enterprise environments.
  • Experience in automation using tools like Automator, Apple Configurator, or scripting languages.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-scale macOS deployments
  • Strong mentorship skills for guiding Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
  • Excellent written documentation skills for knowledge base articles.
  • Strategic thinking for improving workflows and system configurations.
  • Proficiency in macOS command-line tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or AppleScript).
  • Advanced expertise with device management tools like Jamf Pro, Kandji, or Workspace ONE.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory (AD) integration with macOS.
  • Familiarity with security tools and protocols for macOS (e.g., FileVault, Gatekeeper, SIP)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to handle a high-stress environment


Certifications (Preferred):



  • Apple Certified IT Professional (ACTP).
  • Certifications in MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf 200 or higher).
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or equivalent (optional but useful)


Pay rate $33.50 - $37.75 per hour
