GENERAL PURPOSE

The Information Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's information systems, specifically our ERP and Procurement systems as well as our Enterprise Data Warehouse, ensuring that these systems effectively support business needs. This role includes managing a managed services provider, direct reports, application administration, maintenance, projects, data management, and end-user support. The Information Services Manager ensures that information systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee daily operations of IT software systems, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance through routine maintenance and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues or outages promptly.
  • Facilitate work intake and prioritization for assigned systems.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Design and maintain data architecture and infrastructure, implementing technologies to enhance data processing and storage.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, collaborating with business units to define standards.
  • Manage data integration initiatives and ETL processes, ensuring seamless integration between data sources.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to design and implement reporting solutions, utilizing business intelligence tools.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure IT systems meet business requirements and recommend new technologies.
  • Lead and mentor the Information Services team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the Information Services budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure high-quality end-user support, resolving technical issues and providing system use guidance.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for systems and teams.
  • Travel will be approximately 10%.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on ERPs, systems, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems, ERPs, databases, data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Experience managing IT security practices and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong project management experience, including system implementations and upgrades.
  • Proficiency in IT management tools and platforms (e.g., ticketing systems, system administration, data warehouse).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • ITIL, PMP, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
