Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Talent Recruiter/HR Coordinator to join our team in Algona, WA. Reporting to the HRBP, this role is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources department, responsible to purposefully drive recruiting and retention initiatives, assess turnover to improve retention and support general HR functions at location of oversight

Responsibilities:

Talent Recruiter:



  • Engages with Hiring Mangers to meet recruiting and staffing needs. Develops and implements recruiting strategies as needed per position and works with Temporary staffing agencies to meet temporary needs.
  • Proactively engages with Hiring Managers in anticipation of future hiring demands.
  • Reviews resumes, screens applicants, schedules and conducts interviews, coordinates assessments, and presents contingent offers of employment.
  • Responsible for internal job opportunity process for location(s) of oversight.
  • Supports the candidate's total pre-employment experience: successful completion of the application, background check, MVR, physical, I-9, and E-Verify, and facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Coordinates and leads recruiting efforts and actively participates in recruitment campaigns through ad placement, postings at local job centers, colleges relation programs, general networking and other highly visible outlets to ensure adequate applicant flow, diverse applicant pool and robust candidate pipeline.
  • Serves as an advocate and ambassador to implement and facilitate the Corporate Mentorship Program.
  • Evaluates and analyzes turnover, identifying trends and areas of opportunity to develop and implement action plans.


HR Coordinator Support:



  • Maintains general knowledge of HR procedures and systems to support the organization and our business partners.
  • Supports leaders and employees on human resource matters that may require collaboration with HR members and business partners.
  • Interfaces with payroll, benefits, safety, workers compensation, and other internal departments, providing customer focused and effective HR service in support of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintains employee files in compliance with records retention policy and applicable legal requirements.
  • Acts as site liaison in troubleshooting associate issues relating to payroll, timekeeping, and benefits.
  • Maintains visibility and accessibility to all associates through frequent visits to production areas.
  • Visible and accessible to all associates, directing associates seeking policy clarification and HR-related inquiries appropriately, elevating when necessary.
  • Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and HR administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
  • A collaborative work style and the ability to build trust and influence at varying levels in the organization.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and influence others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude that is reflective of the Utz Culture.
