The Summer Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in process documentation, time studies, and lean initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with various teams, including process documentation with Dozuki, time studies and lean initiatives, and support efficiency gains. This internship is designed to provide valuable insights into operational improvements and process optimization.

Process Documentation:

  • Collaborate with the team to create and update process documentation using Dozuki.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate, clear, and accessible for team members.

Time Studies:

  • Conduct time studies to analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Gather data and report findings to help inform decision-making and process enhancements.

Lean Initiatives:

  • Assist in implementing lean initiatives, focusing on waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss lean strategies and share insights.

Efficiency Support:

  • Support efficiency gains, helping to track improvements and suggest further optimizations.
  • Engage in projects that promote operational excellence and productivity.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to support departmental goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with process documentation tools, such as Dozuki, is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and time study methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
