Overview

The Senior Director of Strategic Accounts will strengthen the sustainable relationship between Travel Leaders Network and the Top 25 Affiliate member accounts based on profitability to the Network. Role includes but not limited to analyzing account portfolio on a monthly basis, recommending solutions to grow business and be the liaison between the appropriate internal/external parties.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.



Responsibilities

    Based on business model of each account and grow each agency's value to Travel Leaders Network with emphasis in four key areas:
    • Growth of Preferred Partner Sales Volume and Overrides
    • Increased engagement and Utilization of Travel Leaders Network/Internova internal programs
    • Expansion and continued retention of member agency locations
    • Engage in ongoing monthly (agency) and territory analysis to measure growth, improvement, and ability to analyze each member's business
  • Development of an annual individual agency marketing business plan and program reporting
  • Innovation of proactive strategies for growth and profitability of each account
  • Planning of agency visits and virtual training programs based on agency needs and potential growth
  • Championing agency/advisor success and recognition of these key accounts. Strategizing new revenue opportunities for incremental revenue for both Travel Leaders Network and the agency
  • Must direct and/or participate in surveys, task forces, projects and events as requested by Travel Leaders Network management
  • Serve as Project Leader to help ensure effective and timely communication for smooth onboarding process once a strategic agreement has been signed. This includes preparation and maintenance of the onboarding implementation schedule document to include and identify deliverables, requirement/action plans, assign internal staff or external client responsibilities, target implementation deadlines; schedule internal staff and or external staff responsibilities, deadlines, meetings to review from the moment the agreement is signed through implementation.
  • Negotiate contract renewals
  • Responsibility for managing Strategic Account Manager plans and activities


Qualifications

  • College degree and 10+ years sales, account management experience (preferably travel related)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to present//teach an audience of 100+
  • Knowledge of travel agency's day-to-day operations preferred
  • Goal oriented and action-focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time to visit agencies and attend account sponsored events as well as Travel Leaders Network annual conference
  • Must be confident representing Travel Leaders Network at agency events as well as Travel Leaders Network Conference
