What You Do.



  • Works in conjunction with CP National Customer Business Manager, Director - Retail Merchandising and Director of Sales, to identify opportunities in key markets and customers on retail projects that could increase presentation effectiveness and build brand awareness for our portfolio of Sargento products.
  • Accountable for meeting sales & profit goals for local market accounts.
  • Sets strategies, tactics, & provides direction to sales agency & territory sales manager to ensure set goals & retail excellence are met.
  • Aids CP National Customer Business Manager in developing strategies and tactics for local market accounts within assigned geography.
  • Responsible for retail excellence in the assigned markets to ensure consistency of execution, reporting, and communications.
  • Responsible for analyzing customer-specific information. Supports CP National Customer Business Manager's initiatives to ensure proper execution by Agency Retail Management on all established retail practices.
  • Trains and supports Agency Space Management to ensure merchandising sets support Sargento's retail standards.
  • Supports CP National Customer Business Manager in providing retail score carding, process development and reporting for agency partners.
  • Supports trade management and pricing efforts by providing sales analyses that facilitate pricing and promotional efficiency.
  • Ensures all Sargento products meet or exceeds targeted distribution levels and merchandising standards with the assigned geography.
  • Develops sound customer relationships that provide an opportunity for Sargento to grow market share.
  • Assists in the development of internal retail training with agencies and internal field sales teams within the assigned geography.
  • Acts as a liaison between sales agency & Sargento Management
  • Must live within Kansas City, MO area.
  • Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time.


Your Education and Experience.



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Three to Five years related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
