Description A Repair Technician role in Irvine, CA is available through Acara Solutions. Qualified candidates will be responsible for overseeing the programming, testing, and troubleshooting of circuit boards. In this role you will be required to troubleshoot, repair, and test production and customer returned products. The pay for this role is $27.00-$30.00 p/hr. Repair Technician job responsibilities include: Two years' experience in rework with troubleshoot and repair experience in PCB (printed circuit board) board and system levels products Ball Grid Array (BGA) chipset and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) component replacement skills.\ Excellent at Hand Soldering. Remove or install SMT Components Using a Microscope Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and soldering specifications Ability to identify defects, such as cold solder joints, bridging, or improper component placement Attention to detail Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (M-F) Weekends occasionally Pay Rate:* $27-$30 per hour BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS At least 1 yr. Solder experience High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of Testing experience preferred 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience in assembly or electrical testing Deep understanding of IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Basic computer knowledge, with the ability to adapt to new software technologies Awareness of ESD safety protocol Job Requirements PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS At least 1 yr. Solder experience IPC-610 Certification (current or previous) Experience running a soldering robot Two-year associate degree program in electronics or a related field preferred.
