Choate Investment Advisors (ChoateIA) is a registered investment advisor providing investment management advice to our clients and the trustees of our client families. ChoateIA seeks to deliver sustainable and attractive long-term investment results. We currently advise on approximately $9 billion (as of December 31 2024) for our client families, and help design wealth strategies for billions more.

ChoateIA offers clients independence, integration and institutional quality client service. As a Client Analyst Analyst you will work with our portfolio managers to provide exceptional client service. The position requires an ability to think outside the box, as no two clients are the same. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the flexibility to work in structured and unstructured environments as well as an understanding of investment portfolios and financial planning. While no two days will look the same, primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to track and ensure the timely completion of client project plans, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to client expectations and timelines.
  • Assist with portfolio managers with client communications, including drafting emails, preparing reports, and addressing client inquiries.
  • Aid in the creation of customized client presentations, incorporating relevant data and insights to effectively communicate investment strategies, portfolio performance, and financial planning updates.
  • Proofread client materials, such as reports presentations, and investment summaries, to ensure that all materials are properly formatted and error free.
  • Support the team with various client-specific projects.
  • Provide trading support as needed.
  • Produce investment materials in conjunction with team.

A Successful Candidate will have:

  • Interest in and general knowledge of investments, key industry terms and broad financial concepts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from team members.
  • Being capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment, while knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize a heavy workload with professionalism.
  • Ability and desire to solve problems, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to maintain databases and accurately update financial data.
  • Open-minded, flexible, and willing to listen to other people's opinions and perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the investment field.
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude in client service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience using PowerPoint and Excel in a work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with limited oversight.
  • Familiarity with basic investing, tax and estate planning concepts.
