Position Description

The Production Technician (PT) works alongside engineers, management, quality, and sales teams to maintain and improve the company's facility and production assets. This is a key position that will be responsible for handling all tasks assigned by engineering and other internal teams, including equipment repairs and upgrades, facility maintenance, writing reports and updating records. This role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.

Key Job Duties Required to be a Successful Facilities & Maintenance Technician



  • Works alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions for a variety of technical problems.
  • Assists with new machine installation and retired equipment removal.
  • Conducts research, collects data, and writes daily reports.
  • Runs tests, diagnostics, and calibrations to assist Quality in maintaining compliant measuring equipment.
  • Conducts experiments and investigations to determine and fix machine, material, or process issues.
  • Inspects tooling inventory and manages maintenance needs; reorders replacement tools as needed.
  • Partners with Production leadership to oversee the proactive and preventative maintenance programs for equipment.
  • Analyzes operations and offers suggestions for continuous improvement that maximize productivity and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
  • Maintains records and assists with presentations Such as machine modification and upgrade.
  • May attend conference and participate in other learning and growth opportunities.
  • Resolves building issues; coordinates contractor services to address ongoing maintenance and repairs.
  • Conducts monthly safety inspections, walk-throughs, and audits to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OSHA) requirements.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.


Education & Experience



  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent (Required); Associate's Degree or Higher Preferred.
  • 3+ years production environment experience required in an operator, technician, or leadership capacity.
  • Strong English reading, writing, and oral communication abilities Required.
  • 3rd party production and/or quality certifications Preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English Preferred.

Physical Requirements:



  • This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard manufacturing equipment, as well as standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Repetitive use of hands/dexterity to handle and control various manufacturing related tools/controls.
  • Standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Close and distant vision, accurate color perception, and peripheral vision are critical.



Target Base Compensation range for this non-exempt role is $25.00 - $29.00/ hr. DOE.

This is a Full-Time position, eligible to participate in the Company's benefit plans including: Paid Time off; major medical, dental, vision; Company paid short-term and long-term disability; paid parental leave; various supplemental benefit plans; and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

Education
Associates of Manufacturing Technology (preferred)
High School (required)
Experience
3 years: Manufacturing production environment experience required in an operator, technician, or leadership capacity. (required)
