Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Resident

The Physical Therapy Resident is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented ambulatory rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and pelvic floor injuries. The team members report to the rehabilitation manager as part of the OSU Ambulatory Rehab program structure. Position Summary The Physical Therapy Resident works under the general supervision of the Rehab Manager and under direct supervision of the Manager responsible for coordinating education. The Physical Therapy Resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, staff physical therapists, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree Required Qualifications All Physical Therapy Residents must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Physical Therapy Board. This is for a residency position to work towards a board certification in women's health physical therapy. This would allow the resident to be efficient in treating all pelvic floor/pelvic health diagnoses. |
