Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in McClellan, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Ensure clean and accurate record keeping of the project's financial statements in adherence to the Company's policies and FRGs.
  • Prepare accurate Forecasts of P&L and Free Cash Flow on a yearly and monthly basis, analyzing and keeping records of FC assumptions to explain deviations and drive the project team to ensure we attain forecast goals.
  • Become a trusted partner for the Project Team by Collaborating, Leading, and Educating team members from other areas on all financial and compliance topics.
  • Supports the Project Manager in identifying, reporting, avoiding, or mitigating non-conformance costs; supports the implementation of lessons learned into his project and the organization in general.
  • Led the Risk and Opportunity identification and reporting process for the project. Managed the risks, contracts, and claims, ensuring compliance with LoA guidelines for commercial aspects.
  • Ensures efficient communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, such as the BU and Segment Management team, HR, Quality Management, EHS, customers, suppliers, and consortium partners.
  • Partner with our procurement team to negotiate with vendors and lead/support the claim management process.
  • Actively participates in change order negotiations, with the Customer taking the lead from the commercial perspective and ensuring that price calculations and proposals benefit the client.
  • This is a dynamic, ever-changing role with high visibility and a promotional track for those who can exceed expectations.
  • Work effectively with several cross-functional teams and levels of management with long-term vision and adaptability to change.

Pay: $33.92/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week (1st Shift).

Length: Temp (11 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting principles aligned with FRGs.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Financial Planning and Controlling.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in SAP.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in POC accounting and project control requirements (accurate bookkeeping, risk, opportunity, currency mgmt.).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in contract negotiations (customer change orders and claims and negotiations with vendors).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts.
  • Driven personality with the ability to generate positive change.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to find opportunities to improve margin through Change Orders and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A team player with excellent communication and strong leadership skills.
