Environmental Restoration LLC is a provider of cost-effective hazardous wastes material management and removal services. Our services include Site Remediation, Environmental Construction, Specialty Technical Services, and Emergency Response. Since 1997, we have been a remediation contractor for federal, state, local agencies and private sector clients, providing services nationwide from our St. Louis corporate headquarters and from our 19 regional offices located across the United States. Under general supervision, the Environmental Technician performs a range of tasks required for environmental operations to include but not limited to chemical handling, system monitoring, and operations and maintenance activities. Some manual labor is required The Environmental Technician will work on-site at the Luttrell Water Treatment facility outside of Basin, MT within the Upper Ten Mile Superfund site. The work environment may be dirty, dusty, and noisy, containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions. Work includes operating a remote water treatment facility designed to treat leachate originating from a mine waste repository. The work will involve handling hazardous materials such as water treatment chemicals and use of personal protective equipment. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday for approximately 60 hours each week. Pay is $25/hr with Overtime paid at $37.50 for hours worked over 40 each week. Ideal candidates will have coursework in chemistry, natural sciences, excellent references, an interest in a career within the environmental industry, and the demonstrated ability to perform the following daily functions: Reliably report for work on time 6 days a week Perform physical labor associated with operations and maintenance activities, sample collection, and other remediation services Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site specific safety plans when performing site activities and donning protective gear Operate routinely used tools and equipment Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance Hazardous Waste Operations Have an excellent driving history JOB REQUIREMENTS Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and physical exam. Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify) Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments. Able to wear full and half face respirator Able to work in confined spaces Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds Construction industry experience, environmental experience, hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), driver's license, heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus.
