The Opportunity

We are seeking an effective and team-oriented Accounting Manager with a strong background in system/process optimizations and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation and/or optimization to join our team in Beaverton, OR or Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency.

What You'll Do



  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls and support Finance leadership through the annual audit process.
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, navigating the complexity of multiple sets of books
  • Develop, maintain and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize existing systems and implement new ERP solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals (accountant, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and payroll), ensuring their continuous development and growth.
  • Provide backup for Finance leadership and other critical accounting functions while maintaining segregation of duties.


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience with system and process optimizations and ERP implementation and/or optimization. Experience leveraging technology to drive efficacy is critical.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
    Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Additional Skills



  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.


For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $118,450 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
