Design Engineer II

Responsible for overseeing the transition of product designs from development to manufacturing. Evaluate manufacturing processes and ensure products meet quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability. Provide technical assistance to less experienced engineers and technicians.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Analyze new and existing products in terms of manufacturability, reliability, and production efficiency.
2. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), process documentation, and technical specifications as required.
3. Assess new product designs to determine feasibility for manufacturing and application.
4. Collaborate with design engineers to refine mechanical parts and assembly processes to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
5. Communicate with other departments such as sales, marketing, and production on product modifications, new product development, and related documentation.
6. Apply applicable ASME, ATEX, ANSI, TEMA, CE, CRN, or other codes and standards as required.
7. Assist in the testing and debugging of products during the manufacturing process.
8. Maintain ongoing project requirements, schedules, and specifications for multiple projects in a deadline-based environment.
9. Work with other departments to resolve issues with orders and/or equipment in the shop and execute Engineering Change processing to revise designs as necessary.
10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
