The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for driving efficiency across the marketing team. This person should be a strong communicator, expert at tracking and thinking ahead and be driven by organized chaos. This person will work across the Marketing team to ensure projects are managed effectively from start to finish, in the most efficient way to ensure scalability and create capacity. This person will also manage project inputs from across the organization that require the team's resources, managing prioritization, timing and capacity planning.

What you will do:

  • Project manage all cross-functional marketing team efforts including member and sponsor campaigns, new web pages, paid and organic social media, digital advertising, email templates, brand assets, and more
  • Traffic control of multiple concurrent projects, seeing them through to completion while ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with internal marketing functions (Technology, Design, Campaign Management, Marketing Operations, Marketing Database, Content Marketing, and Product Marketing) to balance workloads, anticipate resource needs, prioritize, and manage capacity to avoid bottlenecks
  • Intake projects and act as lead with cross-functional asks and manage projects within the team's capacity planning
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address any issues that may arise, and escalate issues as needed
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members; communicate effectively to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives, timeline and deliverables
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare meeting notes, and follow up on action items
  • Lead sprint planning and regular project status meetings to ensure everyone is on the same page
  • Develop and maintain project plans through project management software, assign tasks, deadlines and milestones

What you will need:

  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in Project Management, Conferences, Program/Product Management, or Consulting; marketing experience preferred
  • Exceptional problem-solving capability: You have a proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively and using data to tell a story
  • Drive / Self-sufficiency: You have a demonstrated ability to own a problem and drive from problem statement to solution in a self-sufficient capacity in a matrixed environment
  • Passion: You are intellectually curious and have the hunger to identify opportunities proactively and independently where you can drive the most impact for the business
  • Communication skills: You are an excellent and structured verbal and written communicator with effective presentation and platform skills
  • Collaboration: Must demonstrate a high level of collaboration with proven ability to build partnerships across lines of business
  • Executive presence: You have the ability to effectively engage, lead and influence senior leaders (directors, VPs, and above) across the organization
  • Strong core values: You demonstrate integrity, collaboration, a no-limits mindset, objectivity and consistent results using global best practices
  • Adaptability: You operate with a sense of "urgency" with ability to adapt, implement and manage change in an ever-changing environment
  • Project Management Software: Experience with project planning software like Monday, Wrike, Asana, etc.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 87,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
