The Community and Trauma Counseling Program in the Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health seeks one (1) Part-time, 12-month faculty member to serve as Coordinator of the Child, Trauma & Play Therapy Concentration/Director of the Play Therapy Center to support the CACREP-accredited counseling program at Thomas Jefferson University.

The responsibilities of this role are noted below:

* Oversee all courses within the concentration / related certificate.
* Facilitates compliance with the Association for Play Therapy approval.
* Serve as a primary advisor for students within the concentration / related
certificate.
* Manage clinical placements for concentration / certificate students.
* Provide support and mentorship to instructors teaching
concentration/certificate content.
* Serve as a liaison to affiliate faculty in the concentration/certificate.
* Recruit and identify qualified and skilled affiliate faculty to teach concentration
/related certificate content.
* Support the program in expanding and building student recruitment efforts.
* Support the program in expanding and building partnerships within the TJU
enterprise to promote the concentration/related certificate.
* Support the program in expanding and building partnerships within the
community to promote the concentration/certificate.
* Develop and monitor structures around the practicum and internship
processes for concentration/ related certificate students.
* Attend clinical meeting and coordinators meeting monthly (two separate
meetings).

Job Description

Master's Degree and a professional license is required, (LPC is preferred) along with credential as a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor (RPT-S.) Candidates from CACREP accredited counselor education programs are strongly preferred.

Candidate expertise in the treatment of trauma impacted clients a plus. Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in trauma-informed and related mental health service delivery.

Candidate must have sound teaching experience. Proficiency with online teaching, graduate education, and interprofessional training preferred. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, be a strong communicator, a team player, and have proficiency with computers and education-related technology. For this advertised position, the contract type may be practice track or tenure track and will be awarded based on the credentials and experience of the finalist.
