Summary of Position: * The Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position.
* Primary responsibilities include: preparing and delivering courses utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met; and delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Additionally, advising students, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the department, college and the university.
* The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest.
* Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
Required Education: * Master's Degree in a related discipline and 3 years relevant industry experience OR
* Bachelor's Degree in HVACR and five years relevant industry experience OR
* Bachelor's Degree in a closely related field and eight years relevant industry experience

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: * Relevant HVAC training and/or teaching experience
* Higher Education teaching experience
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Teaching courses in the Associate in Applied Science and the Bachelor of Science HVACR degree programs.
* Responsible for the timely grading of course materials, the timely return of graded course materials, and the timely submission of course grades.
* Advising students.
* Developing and delivering curriculum.
* Recruiting students.
* Developing industry relationships.
* Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty and community members.
* Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
* Serving on department, college, and/or university committees.
* Reports to the Director of the School of Built Environment through the Program Coordinator.
* Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information and performing duties in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
* Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include; advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time).
* Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.
* Any other duties assigned within the classification area.
