Who is SSP?

Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. Vertically integrated with its own foundry, fabrication shop, and ISO certified engineering lab, Senior Aerospace SSP acquired by Senior PLC in 1995 and has continued its expansion into new programs and technologies.

What does the job involve?

Summary: Performs technical administrative documentation and manufacturing support of the production floor rejection process, inputting data, keeping digital records, creating Non-Conformance Material (NCM) documentation, documenting/creating Visual Work Instructions, documenting NCM procedures, and associated tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:



  • Supporting and creating in-process MRB actions
  • Creating, editing and maintaining Laser Schedules and Heat Treat Schedules and Technique Sheets, including updating most current revisions and tracking status changes
  • Providing Schedule support to Laser and Heat Treat personnel
  • Managing documentation for rejected parts in IQM, review red tagged parts, clarifying data (dimensions, rejection, specification, etc), and creating NCM number
  • Move discrepant material from floor rejection area to MRB location after NCM creation
  • Updates Work Orders with rejection information and NCM number in INFOR
  • Create and document Visual Work Instructions for Manufacturing Engineer's review
  • Document NCM process and maintain training guidelines/manual
  • Assist planners with INFOR work order updates.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:



  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 6-12 months of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-starter that can work independently and manage time and priorities to support business and meet commitment dates.



Required Skills:



  • Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Other Abilities: Must be able to read and interpret engineering sketches and documents. Must have intermediate knowledge of basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn or possess an understanding of IQM, InforXA, Powerlink and Xerox Docushare.
