As part of the production management team, the role of the Production Manager is to ensure a production is made and delivered as smoothly, efficiently, safely, within budget to the designated deadline with a focus on 'on-the-ground production' and support. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager of Northeast region, the Production Manager will manage a slate of production crew, including freelancer coordinators, production assistants and compliance teams, overall logistic planning and coordination and scheduling. The Production Manager is responsible for a slate of programming, which involves both in house produced material and external commissions through production partners. You may manage a team both internal and external coordinators to ensure the delivery of the programming to the designated deadline. Most of what the Production Manager does is common sense: to have an eye for details and fight the fires when things don't quite go to plan! Involved in every stage of a production from initial planning, budgeting, schedules and contract negotiations, the Production Manager has an oversight during and after final delivery that all contractual obligations are met.
