Summary:

This position with the Business Development team will provide the candidate exposure and experience in both long-term Business Development of the Energy Transfer Texas and Louisiana Intrastate assets. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  1. Analytics of customer specific usage, regional capacity impacts and constraints, and value recommendations in support of the Business Development team
  2. Operational downtime review, customer impact analysis, internal and external customer coordination
  3. Establish new customer interconnects, negotiate renewal and new customer term business


This position will be a customer facing role that engages both new and existing customers. This role will require knowledge of the natural gas market, gas scheduling and pipeline transportation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Develop internal relationships with System Planning, E&C, Operations, Measurement and Legal
  • Constant interactions with external customers, including but not limited to producers, end users, marketers and utilities.
  • Partners with customers to find common-ground solutions
  • Analyzes maintenance activity, looking for opportunities to align commercial and customer input on timing and impacts.
  • Develops knowledge of Energy Transfers operations to help build relationships with customers and find new optimization opportunities.
  • Adjust quickly as market opportunities change.
  • Leverages internal and external tools to help analyze opportunities.
  • Works with and coordinates activities across multiple departments.
  • Analyzes system constraints to design & recommend new opportunities.
  • Conducts analysis of markets and how it impacts both our customer and our book of business.
  • Understands the economics and valuation of different commercial structures and decisions.
  • Prepares and interpret complex financial and economic models.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • 5+ years industry related experience.
  • Proficient skills in Quorum, Flowcal and FileNet applications
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Advanced knowledge, skill, breadth and depth in the natural gas and marketing concepts (as it pertains to area of specialization).
  • Knowledge of complex financial concepts.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets.
  • Ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations.
  • Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Strong organization and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.

  • Subject to normal office noise levels.
  • Will be required to travel overnight when needed.
