The Role:

Our site in Reno, NV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The team is a multidisciplinary engineering team with support roles that oversee the process over each of various product lines. The primary responsibilities of this role as manufacturing engineer will be to lead continuous improvement for cost savings, identify and manage capital spend, and support safety, quality, and equipment uptime.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive continuous improvement projects which may include scrap reduction, output improvement, raw material sourcing improvements, or metrology improvements to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Review and interpret process data and utilize change management to drive improvement.
  • Evaluate process stability, execute designs of experiment, minimize process variation, and document the process.
  • Develop capital justifications and plans for new equipment, upgrades, or facility improvements.
  • Prioritize process and equipment safety.
  • Manage equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Manage projects and coordinate teams effectively to meet project timelines and budgetary expectations.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering preferred, or mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in related field
  • Proven experience in process control, process improvement, capital project management, and cost savings in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, six-sigma methodologies, and statistical process control including software such as JMP/Minitab.
  • Ability to identify, influence, and drive cost reductions and process improvement.
  • SolidWorks or similar modeling experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or relevant experience.

  • Compensation: $89k - $111k/yr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
