The expected hiring range for this position is: $39.60-$51.19.

About the Role: Under direct supervision, provides planning and scheduling services to operations maintenance and utility engineering groups within the Infrastructure Services Division (ISD). This role will be focused on providing necessary logistical support in executing maintenance work across the site. What your day-to-day as a Maintenance Planner-Scheduler at Fermilab will look like:
Determines, develops and schedules work plans based upon site-wide field trips, priority, available work force, and other criteria, and reviews plans and schedules with associated craft supervisors. (e.g., cooling towers, pumps, motors, electrical distribution, air handling units, chillers, boilers, sump pumps, HVAC repairs, thermographic inspections, and vibration analysis. Reviews corrective, preventive, predictive work for planning and scheduling in their assigned craft areas and provides time estimates and priorities to ensure backlog determination. Acquiring and maintaining in depth knowledge of appropriate lab safety and regulatory rules, procedures, and policies to craft job plans appropriately. Responsibility for managing the maintenance planning process including: all safety requirements, developing job hazard analysis and safe plans of action, planning of work orders, managing back log, and scheduling work. Continuous improvement, lead root cause analysis, troubleshooting, develop and utilize metrics and KPI's for decision making and corrective actions. Provide reports to management for maintenance activities. Interfaces with customers, building managers, and division technical personnel when necessary and assists in develops and providing the daily, weekly, monthly, outage and long-term plans and schedules to building managers and the department management team. Coordinates parts and material acquisitions for planned work between the Store Room personnel and/or vendors concerning parts needs, status, tracking and follow-up. Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM's). Project management, technical design and/or redesign support. Providing proper documentation to procurement in support of bidding of work. Evaluate new technologies and ideas that will improve the efficiency and the capability. Utilizes (FAMIS) Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and scheduling activities. Responsible for updating and adding new equipment records into FAMIS. New equipment records and set up include O&M manuals, spare parts listings, warranty information and preventive maintenance task list and frequencies. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

Experience performing, executing, planning, and scheduling electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building envelope maintenance tasks. Multi-skilled trades capability. Project management and estimating. Continuous improvement, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, use of KPI's for decision making and corrective actions. Microsoft Office experience. Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

Ability to work overtime, including weekends and during shutdowns on an as needed basis. Ability to work indoors and out. Perform field trips to review and create sound job plans. Ability to legally operate cars and light trucks.
PHYSICAL FACTORS: Confined Space, Environment (Cold, Dry, Hot, Wet)
Ability to qualify for work in Oxygen Deficiency Hazard (ODH) designated areas as well as radiological controlled areas. Ability to work in confined space and high noise areas. Physically fit to access equipment and site locations, including the ability to bend, climb, crawl, twist and walk.
