What the team does:

The Health Insurance Products Team provides solutions to our business partner needs, and coordinates with other Information Technology teams. We support several vendor products as well as inhouse custom developed applications.
What you will do:

You will join our Agile team and gain real world experience. You will Analyze and prepare specifications and documentation according to department standards. Code, test, and integrate applications.

Hourly Rate of Pay

The starting hourly range for this position is $22/hour. The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Location

*First consideration will be to individuals located near Madison Wisconsin to take advantage of Hybrid collaboration. This role may require some work out of our Madison, WI headquarters

**Employees within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters will be expected to attend onsite events such as monthly Strategy, and Impact Conversations with leadership.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education, or recent graduate of higher education
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Scripting experience gained from coursework in a higher education setting.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or System Administration.
  • Ability to solve complex issues.
  • Experience with object-oriented development (OOP/OOD) using C#, .Net, JAVA, or Angular.
  • Experience writing SQL Server, Queries, and stored procedures.
  • Experience developing web services using JSON or SOAP.
  • Experience using XML/XSLT.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience with Facets.

  • High speed cable or fiber internet
