Role Overview:

Performs any combination of calculating, posting and verifying duties for applicable accounting functions. May include processing invoices, expense reports and credit card logs. May include issuing payments through various means. May include ensuring payment deadlines are met. May include inputting payroll time entry or other payroll related transactions. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary duties include:

A/P function:



  • Invoice Management - ensure all invoices are reviewed and processed accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to reconcile statements and request any missing invoices.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
  • Match invoices to checks and or electronic payments.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies with receipts, invoices, etc.
  • Reconcile monthly statements.
  • Process payments and prepare daily/weekly payment logs.
  • Approve electronic payments on appropriate banking platform.
  • Execute stop payments on various banking platforms.
  • Run and format monthly financial reports and spreadsheets as required by department.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute various financial/tax forms and support documents.
  • Support audit requests as necessary.
  • Research and follow up with vendors and divisions on outstanding payments.
  • Communicate internal and external issues accordingly.
  • Communicate with vendors and project managers regarding payment status.
  • Obtain proper approvals and other documents for expense reimbursement.

  • Provide accounting assistance to accounting department staff to support accounting functions.

  • Must maintain confidentiality of financial data.
  • Must always maintain the highest level of moral and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school graduate or GED equivalent and one year of related experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365; Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience in Adobe PDF
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • High ethical and moral standards.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Willing to learn and/or assist in implementing new ideas and processes.
  • Interpersonal skills with associates, other departments, operating unit personnel, external auditors and third-party vendors or consultants.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a construction industry setting.
  • Prior accounting/administrative experience
  • Associate degree or coursework in accounting or finance a plus
