As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions. We are seeking a full time Summer Intern - Marine Underwriting to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Miami, FL or Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the VP, Cargo & Liabilities Underwriting. Job Profile Will learn to understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service Rotate through our team of underwriters and support their book of business as needed Accepts designated, business-focus projects as assigned Engages with our field offices as it pertains to the task at hand Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems Job Requirements Good verbal communication Excellent organizational skills Professionalism Attention to detail Confidentiality Fulfilling tasks assigned by the manager Performing clerical duties Job shadowing Learning technical skills related to the industry The rate anticipated for this position is $18/hour.
