Overview

The Production Control Specialist II coordinates the production activities to support our manufacturing plant in Tucson, AZ. Supports expedite activities, and the flow of goods through SAP to ensure they arrive when they are needed. Creates and maintains the various inputs to procure and manufacture parts within our ERP system (SAP).



Responsibilities

    Purchase raw materials, supplies and components to satisfy production requirements.
  • Plans and oversees factory's master production schedules to meet our committed dates. Minimizes raw material, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory levels.
  • Creation of production orders and purchase orders, and maintenance of BOMs.
  • Generates production and scheduling reports as needed to support management decisions and projects.
  • Ensure confirmations are accurate and delivery is on time.
  • Work with various work centers to expedite production as required.
  • Maintain SAP Material Master Data as required.
  • Purchasing from and interacting with suppliers as required.
  • Support manufacturing RFQ activity as needed.
  • Other duties as required by management.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform light housekeeping to keep work area clean and organized according to our 6s program.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge in Inventory Management techniques & ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong Team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Other requirements as deemed necessary by management
  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence required

Education/Experience

Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management or relevant work experience; 3-5 years in Inventory Management preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; work in manufacturing and office setting; to lift up to 25 pounds.
