Job Objective:
Support the Regional Asset Teams, Government Affairs and Senior Executives in advancing overall company objectives and identifying regulatory and related public policy trends. Lead strategy related to rulemaking and regulatory changes while working cross-functionally to ensure all segments of the Company understand proposed changes.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor rulemaking and regulatory changes that could impact the company and/or industry. Highlight potential risks and develop positions for Senior Executives and Government Affairs team.
- Coordinate cross-functional working groups to develop best practices and strategies for compliance with new and existing regulations.
- Provide insight into regulatory or public policy trends that have potential to impact business strategy.
- Serve as the Company's subject matter expert on federal and state regulatory regimes.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate relationships with, regulatory agencies, community leaders, and industry groups.
- Coordinate with various departments and staff in addressing local/regional concerns regarding environmental impacts or cultural sensitivities.
- Develop executive-level material for meetings with Senior Executives regarding new and existing regulations.
- Assist Government Affairs, Legal, Operations, Commercial, and other internal teams with drafting comments on proposed regulatory changes.
- Track regulatory changes impacting the permitting process in various regions.
- Participate in industry forums and trade associations as a subject matter expert, if needed.
- Collaborate with senior executives, product management, marketing, and sales personnel to support organizational goals.
- Support the Government Affairs group as needed.
- Special assignments or tasks may be assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal/state regulatory agency roles, or in federal/state policy positions. Oil and gas experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of EPA and state agency air regulations and practices
- Proven success in public, government, and regulatory affairs in relevant jurisdictions.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong regulatory competency and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Office-based with up to 33% travel by land and air required, with more in the beginning of the role.
Education Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Government, Public Policy, Law, Communications, or related disciplines.
