Field Surveyor

Advantage Resourcing is looking for a Field Surveyor to join our survey crew in Alexandria, LA. This role will involve supporting daily survey operations, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction layout surveys. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $16 - $40/hr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction layout surveys for various projects (residential, commercial, and infrastructure).
• Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
• Collect and verify field data for drafting and mapping purposes.
• Perform construction staking and layout according to design plans and specifications.
• Research survey records and historical data to support boundary determinations.
• Work closely with survey crew members and managers to ensure accurate and efficient fieldwork.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure survey equipment and vehicles are in working order.
• Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients about project needs and site conditions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficient in using survey instruments, including GPS, robotic total stations, and levels.
• Strong understanding of survey principles, field procedures, and construction layout techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and survey plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS software is a plus.
• CST or LSIT certification is preferred.
