Leads and manages strategy-driven market research projects in accordance with internal compliance policies and best practices. Responsible for ensuring that interpretation of primary market research is generating meaningful, actionable and differentiating insights. Has an in-depth understanding of the brand/molecule/therapeutic area and consolidates insights from primary market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into insights and recommendations. Develops and provides analysis to support strategic product planning, which includes situational analysis for each brand, market research necessary for developing and testing each products positioning, promotional concepts and messaging. Supports business development and lifecycle planning with research and commercial assessments to determine value of potential licensing and internal development opportunities. Collaborates with product teams to create and manage budget for primary market research projects. Keeps abreast with market developments and competitors. Proactively seeks out and evaluates new data sources, tools, and research partners that can enhance customer insights and ability to improve overall effectiveness of the marketing plan. Manage research vendors, resources. This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. He/she will be part of team to support business through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum of 3+ years of application of advanced methods and statistical procedures on large and disparate dataset, 5+ years of Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Healthcare analytics or secondary data analysis, and 5+ years of Insight-driven qualitative and quantitative market research project scoping and management is preferred. A masters degree (or equivalent) is also preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Known subject matter expert for quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics. Advanced knowledge about study design and able to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process. Recognized expertise on connecting, integrating and synthesizing analysis and data into a meaningful 'so what' to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making. Identifies, prioritizes and describes relevant caveats in data/model and how they relate to business question and broader strategic business priorities. A high level of proficiency & relevant working experience with the following data sources, codes and tools is required: Raw, Subnational & longitudinal patient data from syndicated data providers like IQVIA, Python, R & SQL coding, data visualization tools like Tableau & PowerBI and Data Platforms like MS Fabric and Data Bricks. Expertise in managing and analyzing a range of large, secondary transactional databases. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior business leaders and cross-functional business partners. Strong communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and effectively present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered. Strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage diverse range of simultaneous projects. Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems. Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. Periodic travel is required (less than 10%). Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is: $112,000 - $236,000.
