Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Regular attendance and punctuality.

Adhere to safety practices and procedures
Installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, wiring devices, controls and equipment
Measures, cuts, bends threads, assembles and installs electrical conduits/pipe to specified length, using steel tape and hacksaw
Threads conduit ends using pipe threader and connects couplings and conduit fittings, using a wrench
Strips insulation from wire ends using wire stripping pliers
Must read and understand blue prints
Ties or screws wires to terminals
Loads, transports and unloads material, tools equipment and supplies
Maintains tools and equipment
Must read and understand blue prints
Must be able to distinguish colors
Performs other duties as required
Must oversee electricians and electrician helpers, materials and projects
Must be competent in designing and installing circuitry
Must be knowledgeable in common electrical practices, procedures and equipment

Desired Skills & Experience:

Education: Prefer High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Completion of Electrician technical training.

Experience: Journeyman Electrician must have at least 4 years' of experience

Other Requirements:

Pass a drug screen
A good driving record
Have the ability to interpret simple blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and instruction manuals.
Be able to acclimate to conditions such as heat, cold, odor/fumes, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards
Adherence to Zero Drug Tolerance Policy
