Job Summary

This position supports providing timely and accurate customer billings and invoices for industrial, large commercial, and streetlight electric services. Additionally, it involves collaborating with various departments to research and resolve billing disputes.


Essential Functions

  • Evaluate and analyze billing exception transactions to determine and execute resolutions.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues.
  • Participate in and/or lead project teams for the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated systems, process reengineering, and new requirements.
  • Understand and apply Utility Tariffs, Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Regulations, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Protocols, and TX Set Transactions.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation for all tasks.
  • Collaborate with Transmission and Distribution Engineers to set up complex billing scenarios based on approved tariffs.
  • Ability to support Emergency Operating Plan.


Education Description

  • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Area of concentration in business administration or other related business major preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum 5 years of equivalent billing work-related experience.


Experience

  • Extensive Knowledge of transactional processing of billing, interval data, and internal controls; guidelines, practices and procedures related to Electric Deregulation transaction processing.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Strong Excel skills a plus
  • Understanding of the Texas deregulated market workflow and protocols.
