POSITION SUMMARY: Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Editor - Health to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to review technical whitepapers, reports, and other documents for potential reputational risks, such as bias, unsourced or incorrect information, and personal opinions. Topics covered include health insurance, healthcare financing and actuarial services, and life sciences. The Senior Editor - Health will ensure that all content adheres to our company's high standards of accuracy, independence, and professionalism. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review technical documents (whitepapers, reports, presentations, etc.) for reputational risks, including:
- Identification of biased or unbalanced perspectives.
- Detection of unsourced, unverifiable, or misleading information.
- Removal of personal opinions, ensuring a professional and objective tone.
- Verify sources and citations to ensure that all data, statistics, and claims are backed by reputable, well-documented references.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify technical concepts, validate information, and address concerns regarding accuracy or bias.
- Enhance clarity and readability while maintaining the technical integrity of the content.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, industry standards, and legal requirements for publishing.
- Provide constructive feedback to authors and stakeholders regarding content improvements.
- Assist in developing editorial policies and best practices focused on mitigating reputational risks in technical publications.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or in a related field.
- The ideal candidate must have minimum five years of experience as an editor or in a similar role.
- The ideal candidate must have proven experience in editing, especially with technical or scientific documents.
- Must be strong attention to detail with the ability to identify reputational risks and ensure content accuracy.
- Must have excellent command of grammar, style, and technical writing conventions.
- Must have familiarity with industry-standard citation and sourcing guidelines.
- Must the ability to maintain impartiality and professionalism in reviewing content.
- Must have strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and subject matter experts.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Experience working in healthcare, health insurance, and actuarial services.
- Prior work in risk management, compliance, or editorial roles focused on safeguarding corporate reputation.
- Technical background or understanding of complex technical concepts in healthcare financing and actuarial services.
- Knowledge of reputational risk management in corporate or technical settings is a plus.

COMPENSATION:
- The salary range for this role is $87,000 - $177,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
