Highway Equipment Manager 2

In this position, you will collaborate with the County Maintenance management team to guarantee the effective and efficient utilization and upkeep of District 12 equipment. You will be responsible for preparing all equipment budgets and overseeing the procurement of these assets. Additionally, you will organize the scheduling of District equipment usage for our counties to assist their departmental workforce. Moreover, the role includes providing support to all county organizations in equipment management, focusing on aspects such as purchasing, utilization, scheduling, budgeting, repair costs, and training.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Highway Equipment Manager 1; or
• Three years of experience in the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines and other components of heavy highway maintenance and construction vehicles and equipment including two years of such experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License which is not under suspension with Air Brake restriction removed and tank endorsement included.
• This position requires possession of a valid Class 4 or Class 7 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.
• This position requires one year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines.
