Overview
Forklift Operators are responsible for safely operating forklifts to transport, load, and unload lumber, trusses, and other building materials. This role supports production and distribution by ensuring materials are efficiently moved to designated areas while maintaining safety and organization within the yard or plant. Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm - Eventual Saturdays during summertime. Pay: $20/hr + monthly incentives Full benenfits available after 60 consecutive days of work. Responsibilities Train in all areas of the Yard Department to include operating various types of mobile and fixed equipment including forklifts, and loaders. Training includes required hours for each job position and practical test to be a qualified operator. Interpret all operational procedures and parameters, including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions. Perform additional duties as needed. Recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others. Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs. Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner. Qualifications Able to read and write in their primary language.
