POSITION

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Business Finance team, primarily supporting the Investments division with Allspring. The role will provide research, reporting, data modeling, projects, and presentations to support the financials of the Investments division as well as support incentive compensation planning and processing. Strong collaboration and communication with team members, business partners, and stakeholders within Investments and Human Resources is a critical component to success in this role. There are significant opportunities to support, develop, and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the finance team and the company.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports/analysis, review packages, and other ad hoc requests as liaison to the Investment teams within Allspring.
  • Assist with the annual budget and forecast process, model preparation and submission, and completion of presentation packages
  • Support incentive compensation process for investment teams and Allspring overall through partnership with HR.
  • Assist with calculation and tracking of account performance fees and other account fee analysis as needed.
  • Prepare support for monthly accruals, journal entries and other analyses as part of the monthly accounting close
  • Conduct variance analysis for operating expenses and variable incentive compensation
  • Track project spending and assist with cost benefit analysis
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Finance team members and key business partners within Investments and Human Resources
  • Support a culture of expense discipline and continual improvement in operational efficiencies
  • Present as credible, confident and capable in all interactions
  • Protect operations by maintaining strict confidentiality of company financial information.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience within Asset Management Industry preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, analytics/modeling, reporting
  • Experience maintaining confidential compensation information preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present financial analysis to management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with expense, cost benefit analysis on projects/initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and achieve results. Must be willing to get into the details.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience with Oracle, Essbase and SmartView preferred
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office suite - primarily advanced Excel (vlookup's, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
