See what it's like to work at GROWMARK:https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Under the direction of the Director, Communications Services is responsible for the implementation of GROWMARK's internal communication strategy. Oversees all company-wide internal communications. Provides leadership to GROWMARK regarding messaging content, communication channels, and GROWMARK brand identity to ensure effective and consistent communications to the internal population. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develops content and publishes internal GROWMARK System communications including but not limited to: bi-weekly GROWMARK employee newsletter, monthly CEO newsletter, quarterly Chairman of the Board newsletter, and quarterly financial reports. Seeks ways to use a regular flow of communications to support System culture and contribute to employee morale. Serves as primary speechwriter and communications liaison for CEO and Chairman of the Board. Develops presentations and communications needed by other members executive management staff as needed. Coordinates with all business units across the organization to provide communications guidance on internal communications including but not limited to reorganization memorandums, mergers and acquisitions, and business results. Oversees the administration of GROWMARK all-employee meetings. Collaborates with senior management on subject matter, timing, and delivery of meetings to ensure content aligns with business priorities. Responsible for setting communications standards for GROWMARK employees including presentation, email messaging, and phone etiquette guidelines. Finds ways to consistently communicate standards across the organization. Serves as point person for eResource and employeeCentral content; reviewing content and setting standards across the organization to ensure consistency. Responsible for finding innovative and creative ways to communicate messages across the organization. Assists Director, Communications with programming for the GROWMARK System Summit & Annual Meeting, and the Cooperative Leadership Conference. Serves as a backup for the Director, Communications Services for crisis communications, media relations, and message development, as needed. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Promotes corporate themes and awareness/identification programs. Represents GROWMARK at various functions. Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field and at least 8-10 years of experience to demonstrate the ability to provide communications leadership to the GROWMARK System. Experience in executive speechwriting and message development. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Understanding and experience with communication theory, speech writing, editorial work, and communication planning. Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills. Demonstrated planning, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
