WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAIL AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

As a Creative Process Specialist (Production Artist), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our design projects and delivering high-quality printed materials to our clients. Your expertise in Adobe software, proficiency in color correction, and experience with digital printing equipment will be essential in producing accurate final products.

Responsibilities include:



  • Collaborate with the team to understand design requirements and project objectives.
  • Utilize strong Adobe skills, particularly in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, to execute design concepts and prepare files for print production.
  • Ensure accurate color reproduction and perform color correction as needed, maintaining consistency across different printing processes.
  • Operate and maintain digital printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to production schedules, prioritize workload, and meet project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining effective communication throughout the production process.
  • Maintain a production-minded approach, optimizing efficiency, and implementing best practices to streamline processes and increase productivity.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new printing technologies, and software advancements to enhance skills and propose innovative solutions.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Experience in color correction techniques and maintaining color consistency.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of print production processes and file preparation.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:



  • 3-5 years' experience running digital printing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience operating laser cutters and large format UV printers.
  • Knowledge of prepress processes, including file optimization and imposition.
  • Understanding of different paper stocks, finishes, and printing techniques.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy print materials.



Additional Information

This position is located out of our Hallmark HQ location and will be full time on-site. Candidate will be required to take and pass a color blindness test.
