Job Summary	Job Summary Applies basic technical skills and knowledge to perform acrylic fabrication and assembly of acrylic transparent material, as well as preparation and cleaning, of airplane components to include duties and responsibilities in several specific work areas. Utilizes high-volume manufacturing techniques and acrylic capacity to support aircraft manufacturers and global operators with line-fit and aftermarket spare cabin windows. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Performs routine developmental learning assignments and applies standard solutions to work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. May perform a variety of routine duties related to the area to which assigned. SINK: Operate hand tools and equipment such as buffers and sanders to finish acrylic parts to customer specifications. Clean and inspect transparencies (windows) for defects before inspection. FORMING: Clean and inspect material before loading into forming tools. Operate hand tools such as torque guns and wrenches and other equipment to load forming tools. Set-up oven and autoclave for forming process. Unload tools and inspect for defects. Use forklift and hand truck to transport acrylic parts. BAND SAW: Cut acrylic parts using hand tools such as band saws and routers. Use measuring tools to check contour of parts after cutting. PACKAGING: Ensure parts are clean and ready for packaging, assemble boxes and apply die-cuts. Verify batch number with material and paperwork to ensure accuracy. MAVERICK OPERATOR: Operate Maverick machinery to polish transparencies. ROBOT OPERATOR: Operate Robot machinery to polish transparencies. FINISH OUT: Using extreme care, handle and clean transparencies (windows) using solvents. LASER: Operate laser machines to etch identification numbers on parts. ASSEMBLY: Assemble transparencies (windows) and seals, apply die-cuts, use stamps or printer to identify parts. Inspect panes for defect. DQA (DELEGATED QUALTIY ACTIVITY): Perform in-line inspection of transparencies (windows) to customer specifications ensuring compliance. Operate hand tools and equipment such as laser, drill press and polishing equipment. HARD COAT: Prepare room for coating application donning appropriate equipment (respirator, etc.); cleaning to specifications and equipment set-up. Operate hand tools and equipment such as spin coater and flow coating booth to apply coating to panes, inspect coating for defects or contamination. Set-up oven to cure coating. CLEAN ROOM: Prepare room for laminating process; cleaning to specifications and equipment set-up. Prepare panes and materials for lay-up; cleaning to specifications and inspecting windows to ensure conformance. MISCELLANEOUS: Perform data entry to SAP; review production and process documentation and production scheduling and planning and assist in expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies. Study blueprints, work orders and/or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements and operational sequences. Machine and equipment set-up and adjustment. Work with chemicals and adhesives; clean and removal of residue from components. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.

Experience Requirements Minimum Years of Experience year(s) Description year(s) Skills and Competencies Must be able to read and write the English language and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, work instructions, engineering specifications, Material Safety Data Sheets, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Mechanically inclined using variety of hand tools and equipment. High level of manual dexterity.
Skills and Work Requirements
Physical Requirements	Physical Requirements Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Work Environment	Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary from loud to a more moderate level.
Supervision	Supervision Work operations are closely supervised and / or performed via work instructions requiring little or no interpretation.
