Responsibilities



  • Analyze metal alloy coupon samples according to Standard Methods for the Examination of Water, EPA, NACE, or ASTM protocols.
  • Login, process, and record test results in LIMS database for review
  • Assist with Analytical method development
  • Ensure that Corporate Safety and ISO procedures are followed in area of responsibility
  • Maintain the instruments in calibrated condition, collecting and reporting data to the manager, managing lab supply/inventory, and assisting in preparation of reports/presentations
  • General sample housekeeping/rotation of analyzed samples
  • Perform other essential functions which may be assigned by the manager



Position Requirements:



  • Associate' degree in chemistry, environmental sciences, or equivalent experience is required, or 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with analytical procedures and development
  • Familiarity with chemical analyses and analytical instrumentation preferred, e.g. titrimetric analysis methods, colorimetric analysis methods
  • Familiarity with general laboratory procedures, e.g. related ASTM or other test methods
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail encompassing data entry
  • Quick learner, coachable and adaptable retaining and applying new information quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
