Shift: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Job Summary:

This position performs non-technical duties in the support of the Quality Control department and prepares sample collection tubes to be used by our clients.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Label and aliquot tubes for Quality Control samples
  • Label and bag frozen aliquots of Quality Control samples
  • Maintain inventory of manufactured drug standard solutions
  • Maintain inventory of NMS prepared solutions
  • Prepare sample collection tubes for clients
  • Filter blank matrices when needed
  • Wash glassware
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly work area
  • Participate in departmental meetings and projects
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of chain of custody procedures
  • Exhibit professional and effective interpersonal skills
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend company procedures and apply them to work operations
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be flexible in scheduling and available for overtime as required
  • Good customer service focus and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Clear, neat and legible penmanship

Physical Demands

  • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboard, objects, or controls.
  • Requires walking from one work location to another throughout the shift.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
  • Lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities (with correction) include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to intermittent or constant sounds generated by equipment.
  • Exposure to fumes, noxious odors and dust
  • Handling of biological material and blood-borne pathogens
  • Handling of toxic or caustic chemicals
