Description

  • Ensures all internal areas in assigned facilities are clean, orderly, and free of debris. Custodial duties include but are not limited to vacuuming, trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping, windows, floors and bathrooms.
  • Performs external grounds maintenance as needed such as lawn mowing, landscaping and/or shoveling. '
  • Performs other general and preventive maintenance as needed on simple repairs which may include but is not limited to painting, carpentry, plumbing and/or moving furniture/equipment.
  • Performs recycling efforts throughout the facility which may include gathering all recyclables and organizing and maintaining recycling areas.
  • Performs facility and safety related maintenance, secures buildings and assists in ensuring the facility is in regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in identifying process improvements and job efficiency opportunities for safety, quality, customer satisfaction and/or recycling efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.


    • Ability to work independently as well as with others.



    • Ability to work under minimal supervision, in varying environments and perform diverse tasks.



    • Ability to work in cold and hot weather conditions.



    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds when required. Requires extended periods of standing, frequent bending and twisting, and the ability to work at different heights (climb ladders).



    • General knowledge of basic maintenance such as painting, plumbing and carpentry.
