Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for leading a variety of Sun Nuclear manufacturing projects. This includes planning, validation and manufacturing transfer of new product introductions from engineering to manufacturing.

Key Areas of Responsibility:



  • Manage and direct day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of no less than 3 projects including but not limited to:
  • Drive the technical industrialization of new products, including technical feedback to guide new designs, requirements and testing and feedback to suppliers on manufacturing processes
  • Lead problem solving teams for technical issues to ensure best possible solutions
  • Work with engineering teams and contribute to DfX reviews on complex electro-mechanical products
  • Act as a contributor in discussions between CMS, sub-suppliers and engineering
  • Create, monitor, and manage project plans, project risks/mitigations, and resource requirements


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in project management focusing on manufacturing
  • Previous track record of organizing, and transferring to manufacturing small to medium size development projects
  • Experience with a Phase Gate Design Process
  • Experience in DfX
  • Ability to influence engineering and operations professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities
  • Work well within a team environment and across multiple functions
  • Ability to take initiative, and to meet deadlines under pressure
