The laboratory assistant is responsible for collection of various sample types. Performing phlebotomy is primary mode of collection. Staff also provide collection instructions to patients for urinalysis, stool, and other sample types. Staff also assist with cardiac procedures including but not limited to EKGs, Holter, and Event Monitor placement. At the core of what they do, laboratory assistants must exhibit a high level of trust in their abilities to put the patient at ease and provide a safe, warm, and pleasant experience for our patients. Work Schedule: 20 hrs weekly / .5 FTE 2-3 shifts per week, 8-hour days, occasional weekends, times rotated between staff, starts varying between 7AM and noon. Required Qualifications:
