MUST HAVES: REMOTE - must live in CT 2+ years of Hospital AR Insurance Follow Up and Credits Epic Credit Specialist in hospital billing ensures accurate and timely processing of patient and insurance credits, refunds, and resolves credit balance issues, while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulations. Key Responsibilities: Credit Balance Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve credit balances, including overpayments from insurance or patients. Refund Processing: Process refunds for confirmed patient and insurance credits in a timely manner. Payment Posting: Ensure accurate posting of payments and third-party reimbursements. Data Accuracy: Maintain the accuracy of patient accounts and billing records. Compliance: Adhere to applicable regulations and payer requirements. Patient Communication: Address patient inquiries and concerns regarding credit balances and refunds. Collaboration: Work with other departments to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of credit balance resolutions and refund processes. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
